All our professionals at Morris, Simmons & Associates maintain the highest levels of accreditation and pursue ongoing education to stay abreast of the latest trends in dentistry.
Our Clinical Staff is made up of highly qualified dental assistants who function well as a team, working to provide our patients with a safe, healthy environment for treatment. Continuing education is a priority, and all professional staff members attend several training courses each year to upgrade their skills and introduce themselves to the latest advances in dental treatment.
Our Administrative Staff is well trained and ready to assist our patients. Like our clinical staff, our office employees share a philosophy of dental health and patient care based on a genuine concern for the well-being of each individual we serve. To continually serve our patients better, the administrative staff also attends various seminars during the year.
Our Professional Hygiene Staff is prepared to educate, train and motivate our patients to co-discover their dental needs, and to also become co-therapists through raising their level of appreciation of quality dentistry.
Dr. Shawn Morris
Dr. Morris has been practicing dentistry since 2001. He graduated from University of Detroit Mercy Dental School. Dr. Morris completed his undergrad at Eastern Michigan University with B.S. in Biology and Biochemistry, and completed a two year general practice residency at the VA Hospital Ann Arbor Healthcare System. He continues to work part-time as a staff dentist there. Dr. Morris, loves sports cars, classic cars and racing He also loves playing music, and learning different instruments especially guitar. Other interests include hiking, camping and fishing.
Dr. Daniel D Simmons
Dr. Simmons has been practicing dentistry since 2001 after graduating from University of Detroit Mercy Dental School. Dr. Simmons completed his undergrad at Eastern Michigan University with B.S. in Biochemistry and Toxicology. He then completed a one year residency at the VA Hospital Ann Arbor Healthcare System. Dr. Simmons loves spending time with his family, a son and 2 daughters. He also plays hockey, enjoys golfing. He also loves spending time landscaping, fishing, traveling, and the great outdoors.
Mary Roy RDH BA
Hygienist
Mary grew up in the Livonia area. Mary graduated in 1983 from Wayne State University in biology, and then continued onto University of Michigan in 1985 for dental hygiene. Mary has been working at our practice since 1987! She Loves all types of art and music, loves trying different kinds of wine (red is a favorite), loves scrap booking, nature, loves spending time with family and friends. Mary has two sons.
Andrea Bates RDH BS
Hygienist
Andrea grew up in Dearborn Heights area and started as a dental assistant here in 1992 and returned as a hygienist after graduating from University of Michigan. Andrea is an avid scrap booker, loves watching her son and daughter play sports, likes reality shows, spending time with family in Ludington and has a cat that she found trying to get into the back door of our dental office!
Amy Kosenko RDH BS
Hygienist
Amy grew up in the Westland area and started as a dental assistant here from 1995-1999. Amy then went on to University of Detroit Dental School for dental hygiene and has worked as a hygienist here since 2001! Amy is a foodie, loves music, hanging out and playing in the ‘D’, outdoor fun, paddle boarding and spending time with family and friends in Caseville. Amy is also a dog-lover.
Lisa Witter
Office Manager
Lisa grew up in the Livonia and Redford area. Lisa has worked in the dental field since 1990. In 1999 she started here as a dental assistant and in 2006 moved to the front desk area, and then in 2017 has become office manager. Lisa enjoys camping, working in her flower garden, going to movies and spending time with her family, friends and 2 dogs.
Tamara Gentry CDA
Certified Dental Assistant
Tamara grew up in this area and started assisting here in 1999. Tamara then became x-ray certified and a certified dental assistant. Tamara loves gardening, and does our beautiful flowers around the office building. She worked at Greenfield Village. Tamara loves spending time with her two boys and two dogs, and enjoys camping.
Jeanne Hunter
Appointment Coordinator/Accounts Payable
Jeanne is from the Redford and Plymouth area. Jeanne has 25 years of bookkeeping experience with background in aviation and property management. Jeanne enjoys flying (has a pilot’s license), trying out different restaurants, traveling and boating. She also has two cats.
